HOW TO: DIY CHALK REFRIGERATOR

What to do if you are on a budget and can't exactly purchase that stainless steel refrigerator you really want but are tired of your ugly white refrigerator!?(longest sentence ever!)

PAINT IT!!!!

Better yet make it a chalkboard refrigerator!

Things you will need:
Oh... and an old white refrigerator!!

This is it right here, isnt she a beauty? err....no!

I removed the ice maker cover.
Such a blank canvas!

Remove door handles. (makes it easier to paint)

You can prime with a magnetic primer but from what I've read this isn't necessary.

I went ahead and did it because my husband always bugs me about priming!

You want to do about three coats of chalkboard paint with a roller.

Let them dry for about an hour in between.

After you have done your last coat let dry for 24 hours.

YOU WILL BE TEMPTED TO DA VINCI ALL OVER IT, DON'T!!!

After waiting I wrote on it for the first time! :)
But what about that ugly ice maker....

That oughta do it!! I really had no interest in putting it back.
I never really use it anyway!

Its pretty simple but really messy! They chalkboard paint is really thick.

That is why it is extremely necessary to lay down a tarp.

That's it!! Enjoy!
